William C. Kratz, 73 of Gettysburg, PA, formerly of Gibsonia, PA, passed away Sunday morning, June 23, 2013 at Gettysburg Center, after a fall.

Born February 8, 1940 in Wexford, PA to the late William C. and Hilda V. (Knobeloch) Kratz. He was the loving husband of Karen J. Kratz for 48 years. Mr. Kratz was also the loving father of Michael W. and the late William C. Kratz. His grandchildren, Danielle and Michael were the light of his life.

Mr. Kratz is survived by his sisters, Ethel Mae Watts, Alice Nock and husband Bill, Louise Snyder and the late Carolyn (Kratz) Powers.

Bill worked 21 years for Mineral Mills, McKees Rocks, PA and 20 years for Avis Rent-A-Car, Dulles, VA before he retired in 2005. He enjoyed working outside and spoiling his dogs, Max and Bella. His greatest joy was returning to Pittsburgh to visit with family.

After cremation by Peters Funeral Home, Inc., Gettysburg, PA, Bill will be laid to rest beside his son, Billy, who passed away Nov. 29, 2010. Burial will be private in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg, PA.
