Wayne R. Kauffman, 69 of Biglerville passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Maxine E. (Harman) Kauffman who passed away June 13, 2011.
Born June 28, 1955 in Waynesboro, he was a son of Esther M. (Brown) Kauffman.
Mr. Kauffman is fondly remembered for his keen wit and sense of humor, affectionately known as a jokester by his family and friends. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. His hobbies and interests also included bowling, poker, horseshoes and racing. He was an especially avid fan of local Sprint Car star Danny Dietrich.
Wayne is survived by four children: Joshua W. Kauffman and his girlfriend Kristen of Aspers and Jessica S. Kauffman of Biglerville, Samantha D. Myers and her husband Zach of Taneytown, MD and Kelsy M. Mullican and her husband Brandon of Soldotna, AK; his fiancé, Patricia S. Cox of Taneytown, MD; five grandchildren: Anthony, Olivia, Liam, Jameson and Dawson; six siblings: Gary, Bob, Dave, Cindy, Patty and Mary; his beloved dog, Remington, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held on Friday, September 20th at 12 noon at Trinity Christian Fellowship; 300 E. York St. in Biglerville with Pastor Linda Summers officiating. Interment will follow in Biglerville Cemetery. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday at the church from 10am until the start of the service.

Arrangements are under the care of Peters Funeral Home, Inc. in Gettysburg.
