Wanda D. Jeffers, 68, of New Oxford, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020, with her family by her side after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born January 7, 1952, in Gettysburg, the daughter of Thomas M. and Grace B. (Plaine ) Smith.

Wanda was a 1970 graduate of FSK High School, and attended Catonsville Community College.

She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, the collecting of cow trinkets, Nascar racing, sewing ,the monthly family luncheons, and spending time with her family and friends. Wanda was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and a friend to many. To know Wanda was a gift in itself.

Wanda is survived by her husband ,Donnie Jeffers, her mother, Grace B. Smith of Taneytown MD, a brother Darryl T. Smith of Gettysburg, three daughters, Jessica A. Murphy and husband Scott of Glenville, Rebecca A. Gilmore and fiancé George Artz of Hanover, Lucynda A. Shaffer of New Oxford, four grandchildren Leroy, Ivy, Devin, James and many nieces and nephews.

Wanda was predeceased by her father, Thomas M. Smith and a brother, John S. Smith.

As per Wanda's request, there will not be a public service and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Gettysburg Cancer Center, 20 Expedition Trail #101
