She was born January 4, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of the late Sylvester J. and Lyda (MacKenzie) Krall.

Sylvia was a very active member of the Heritage Assembly of God, Gettysburg and was also a member of the Land Conservatory of Adams County. She was an avid gardener and volunteered at Alloway Creek Gardens in Littlestown. After retiring from AON Consulting, Owings Mills, MD she continued working with AON Consulting part time and also worked part time for the Majestic Theater, Gettysburg.

She is survived by her son James R. Turner, daughter-in-law Shiloh and granddaughter Morgan of Gettysburg. In addition, she is survived by a sister, Jessie Hilseberg of Essex, MD, nieces, Karen, Gail and Terri and many friends.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday July 8, 2008 from 7 until 9 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. A service to celebrate the life of Sylvia will be held Thursday July 10, 2008 at 11AM at the Heritage Assembly of God, 1575 Chambersburg Road, Gettysburg with Pastor Jeffrey K. Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
