Obituary

Susan Thomas, 65, of Biglerville passed peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Robert E. Thomas who died on November 29, 2000.

She was born September 21, 1950 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late George N. and Sara (Jeffcoat) Redding.

Sue attended Gettysburg High School and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg. She was employed with Hoss', Gettysburg, the Gettysburg High School and Big Jim's, Gettysburg. Sue enjoyed going to the beach, bowling, painting and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Kohler and husband Tim, Fayetteville; Crystal Thomas and companion, Kevin Bottenfield, Jr., Biglerville and Joel Thomas, Hanover; sisters, Rosemary Kelley and husband Sonny, Gettysburg and Kathy Rudisill and husband Timothy, Gettysburg; brother, George "Nick" Redding, Jr. and wife Patsy, Mobile, AL; sister-in-law, Barb Redding, Westfield, PA; grandchildren, Daniel Meyers and wife Casey, Biglerville, Amy Thomas and companion Craig Tipton, Biglerville, Todd Thomas and companion Jessica Lookingbill, Gettysburg, Mackenzie Kohler, Fayetteville, Nicholas Rudisill, Gettysburg and Trent and Bryce Brown, Biglerville, great grandchildren, Megan and Alexis Meyers, Biglerville and Hailey Tipton, Biglerville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sue was preceded in death by her son, Richard "Butch" Thomas who died April 1, 2011 and her brother, Joseph Redding who died March 1, 2016.

At Sue's request, there will be no viewing or service. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Debbie Copenhaver, Sue's guardian angel and the Hospice of Hanover and Spring Grove for their kind and compassionate help in caring for Sue.
