Sharon Lynn (Hamrick) Darsey Acosta, 48, of Fairfield, PA, died tragically Friday, January 8, 2010 as the result of a car accident. She was the loving mother of Luke and Yvonne.

Born May 4, 1961 in Oak Lawn, IL, she was the daughter of Arthur Kent Hamrick, of Fairfield, and Patricia Ann (Wester) Goins, of Orange Park, FL.

Sharon was employed as a CNA with the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village during the 1980s. She then worked in the communications industry with TSR in Camp Hill until 1999. At that time, she moved to Florida where she lived until her recent move back to Fairfield.

In her free time, Sharon enjoyed working with computers, collecting antiques, and crafting. She was also an avid gardener. Her family and friends will dearly miss her positive spirit and will cherish the care she always gave to them.

Surviving is her son, Luke Arthur Darsey of Fairfield; her daughter, Yvonne Patton and her husband Robert of Mt. Holly Springs; her brother, Raymond Curtis Hamrick; two grandchildren, Emma Lou and Caleb James; and a large extended family.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg.
