Samuel T. Staley's Obituary
Samuel T. Staley, 75, of Gettysburg passed away Saturday, April13, 2013 at York Hospital.
He was born September 28, 1937 in Straban Twp., Adams County the son of the late Paul Ivan and Helen Mary (Staley) Staley.
Sam served in the U.S. Army and retired in 1999 from Schindler Elevator, Gettysburg. He enjoyed hunting and was a life member of the VFW, Littlestown, the AMVETS, Fairfield and the Greenmount Fire Co.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Bair, Littlestown, nieces and nephews, Guy Kump, Gettysburg, Ted Bair, Littlestown, Darlene Ramsey, Florida, Stacy Rebert, Littlestown and Douglas Bair, Rising Sun, MD and several great nieces and nephews.
Sam was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Staley, Jr. and sisters Colleen Rosenberry, Marcella Hewitt and Olive Kump.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11 AM at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Chambersburg Road, Gettysburg with Pastor Craig Arentz officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Guy Kump, Ted Bair, Doug Bair, Adam Bair, Evan Bair and Kevin Servant.
