Rose Davis, 89 of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Barlow-Two Taverns Road, Gettysburg passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at NMS Healthcare of Hagerstown. She was the loving wife of William Davis who died in June 5, 1992.
She was born December 18, 1920 in Grampian, PA the daughter of the late George and Mary (Yaniak) Borack.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and was well known for her line dancing, flowers and sewing. She loved animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Geri Lind and her husband Daniel of Boonsboro, MD and Tanya Davis of Keedysville, MD; son, Alan C. Davis and his wife Barbara of Mercersburg, PA; step-son, Jeff Davis of Westfield, IL; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her step-son Stuart Davis, three sisters and brother.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Davis' life will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 1 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 12 to 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Jones, Samuel Lind, Daniel Lind and Walter Johnson.
