Ronald Lee Davis, Sr., 74, of Gettysburg, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Dianne Jane (Dudley) Davis, of Gettysburg. For over 37 years Ron and Dianne shared their lives as colleagues, best friends, life partners, and finally husband and wife. They were rarely apart and enjoyed sharing all aspects of life together creating many beautiful memories.
He was born November 19, 1944 in Washington, DC, the son of the late James Erwin and Mary Elizabeth (Henry) Davis.
Ron was known as "Uncle Ronnie" to many and was the patriarch of his family. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karen Loraine Davis, Edgewood, MD, Ronald Lee Davis, Jr., Laurel, MD, Rosemary Kitzinger and husband David, Taneytown, MD and Dana Dudley and husband Donald Strobel, Frederick, MD; sister, Mary "Sissy" Dillon, Laurel, MD; grandchildren, Ashley, Ronald, III, Marissa, Cameron "Cody", Alyssa, Collin and Samantha; great grandchildren, Riley and Ella Rose and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, William "Billy" Davis, James "Butchie" Davis, Ida "Betty" Fry and Barbara Gowen.
A service to celebrate the life of Ronald Lee Davis, Sr. will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 2 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Chaplain Peter Ogilvie officiating. The family will receive friends and share memories from 1 PM until the start of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

All charities held a special place in Ron's heart.
