Richard Lee Gochenaur, 48, of Hanover and formerly of Biglerville, passed Friday, June 11, 2010 at his residence.

Born December 16, 1961 in Dillsburg, he was a son of Bruce Gochenaur, Sr., of Sanford, NC, and the late Beatrice J. (Heighes) Gochenaur.

Mr. Gochenaur was employed as a truck driver with Ditzler Furniture in York Springs for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, swimming, and riding his motorcycle. Family and friends will remember the good times they shared with Richard.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are two brothers, Bruce Gochenaur, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Middletown, PA, and Wilbur Gochenaur and his fiancée Pam Ziegler of Shippensburg; and ten nieces and nephews, Corey Gochenaur, Matthew Gochenaur, Mailaina Gochenaur, John Gochenaur, Kenny Zeigler, Kanyon Crutcher, Nathan Gochenaur, Rachel Gochenaur, Emila Gochenaur, and Benjamin Gochenaur.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with Pastor Marvin Stanley. The family will receive friends beginning 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Corey Gochenaur, Ron Ardrey, Donnie L. Miller, Jr., and Donnie L. Miller III.
