Rhoda M.
Watson
Nov 29, 1936 — Apr 3, 2019
Rhoda Marie (Cluck) Watson, 82, formerly of Hanover, passed away on April 3, 2019, at Genesis HealthCare. She was the loving wife of the late Lloyd F. Watson, Jr.
Born November 29, 1936, in Franklin Twp., she was a daughter of the late Kermit and Beatrice (Weaver) Cluck.
Rhoda was a retired bank administrator in the Northern Virginia area. After retirement she cleaned homes locally.
Rhoda is survived by her grandchildren to whom she was very close and loved dearly; Keith Waybright and wife Kristi of Gettysburg, and Christy Waybright and partner Sean Cramer of Bendersville. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Hadley and Justin Waybright; five sisters, Frances Atkins and husband Bill of Gettysburg, Joyce Miller of Gettysburg, Janet Gruwell of Fairfield, Connie Godfrey and husband James of Wrightsville, PA and Linda Hammond and husband Robert of Morgan Hill, CA; two brothers, Gerald Cluck of Gettysburg and Marlin Cluck of Gettysburg and numerous nieces and nephews. Rhoda is also survived by daughter Deborah of Florida, two additional grandchildren and great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Martin, brothers Donald Cluck, and Richard Cluck.
Rhoda loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, gardening and collecting chickens. She loved to tell stories, had a great sense of humor, always had her grandchildren laughing, wondering what she would say next. Rhoda was tough and independent, and did things her way. She had a huge soft spot for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always so proud of their accomplishments.
Rhoda passed from a dementia related illness, but in lieu of flowers, the family would like donations in her memory made to the Alzheimer's Association: Greater Pennsylvania Chapter 2595 Interstate Dr. suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Special thanks to Genesis HealthCare for the compassionate care provided to our grandmother.
A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family.
