Purita (Turla) Gregory, 75, of Gettysburg, formerly of San Francisco, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at home. She was the loving wife of Frederick N. Gregory; together they shared 53 years of marriage.

Born December 11, 1942 in Rosario, Samar in the Philippine Islands, she was a daughter of the late Quinciano and Leonora (nee Largo) Turla.

Purita was a loving wife and friend; before moving to Gettysburg in 1994, she lived in San Francisco CA where she worked for Levi Strauss & Co. and later Nestle Beverage Co.

In addition to her husband, Purita is survived by a brother Jacob; sisters Delia and Imelda, and many extended family members in the Philippines.

Purita was preceded in death by her sister Margie and her brother Joel.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gettysburg Cancer Center, Dr. Satish A. Shah and staff for their care of Purita throughout the past nine years and to Spiritrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice for their compassionate care during this mournful time.

There will be no public viewing. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Purita will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, RR #2 Indiantown Gap Rd. Annville, PA 17003 with Rev. Michael E. Allwein officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Foundation , 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, York, PA 17404.
