Phyllis Ann McCall, a longtime resident of Fairfax, Virginia, departed this world on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 88.

Phyllis was born on August 07, 1936, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Harold Malcolm McCall, married 69 years and her parents, Carl and Hilda Slaybaugh.

She was a devoted mother and dedicated business manager and seamstress for 50 years in the family business. She coordinated Professional Square Dance events at the White House for (3) Presidents, YMCA Camp in MD, numerous square dance clubs as well as Campfire Square Dance
Club.

She loved spending time with her grandkids, camping at Pine Grove State Park and the KOA campground in Rodanthe, NC.  She enjoyed fishing, knitting, crocheting, and sewing.

Phyllis leaves behind a devoted family who loved her deeply including her five children: Jeff McCall (Kirsten), Brad McCall (Brenda), Stacey Crouse (Greg), Laurie Nappi (Roger), and Scott McCall (Ayumi), 14 grandchildren, 18 great children, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and loving sister, Joyce Gradley.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12,2025 at 2:00 pm at Peters Funeral home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to celebrate the life of Phyllis with interment immediately following at Biglerville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Biglerville Fire Department.

Our Mom is irreplaceable and will leave a void in all our lives, yet her journey towards eternal peace and reunion with our father brings us comfort. Rest in peace Mom.
