Paul D. Scott, 91 of Gettysburg passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Dolores A. (Nicodemus) Scott who died January 19, 2009.
He was born June 16, 1920 in Gettysburg the son of the late Jesse and Grace (March) Scott.
Mr. Scott was employed with Musselman's in Biglerville for 43 years and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Gettysburg. He enjoyed farm equipment and planted corn for many years in the fields on his property along the Hunterstown road.
He is survived by his son, Robert A. Scott, Biglerville, daughter, Janet Rowland, Fort Wayne, Indiana, sisters, Dorothy Rice and Martha Black both of Gettysburg, brother, Richard Scott and his wife Faye, Mechanicsburg, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly A. Scott and two brothers, Daniel and Charles Scott.
A service to celebrate the life of Paul D. Scott will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10 AM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Pastor Steven F. Baker officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 7 until 9 PM and on Thursday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
