Nancy M. Plank, 66, formerly of Gettysburg and most recently a resident of St. Catherine's Nursing Home, Emmitsburg, MD entered into God's Eternal Care on Monday October 22, 2007 at the Gettysburg Hospital. She was the loving wife of 48 years to Albert J. Plank, Jr. of Fairfield.

She was born December 12, 1940 in Gettysburg the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Chipley) Bowers.

Nancy had worked at Pfaltzgraff, Biglerville and was most recently employed with the Gettysburg Area School District where she worked in the cafeteria. She loved her family dearly and had a great sense of humor which she shared with everyone.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Michael E. Plank and his wife Terri, Gettysburg, Linda S. (Plank) Green and her husband Larry, Gettysburg and Joan S. (Plank) Hobbs and her husband Jim, Fairfield, four sisters; Irene Cool, Littlestown, Susan Fogle, Fairfield, Debbie Eckard, Taneytown, MD and Diane Bowers-Bandrofcheck, Thurmont, MD, a brother; John Bowers, Altoona, PA and five grandchildren; Justin Plank, Sadie Green, Seth Green, Derrick Hobbs and Dalton Hobbs.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Kelly and a brother Frank Bowers.

The funeral will be Friday October 26, 2007 at 11 AM at the Peters Funeral Home 321 Carlisle St. Gettysburg with Rev. Faye C. Snyder officiating. There will be a viewing Thursday October 25, 2007 from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home with a second viewing on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. Serving as pallbearers will be will be Justin Plank, Sadie Green, Seth Green, Derrick Hobbs, Jesse Plank and Richard Eckard.

Memorial contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association South Central PA Chapter 3544 North Progress Ave. Suite 205 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
