Nancy E. (Shultz) Crouse, 75 of Gardners, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Richard W. Crouse, Sr., who passed away in 2009; together they shared 43 years of marriage.

Born May 9, 1943 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Clair M. and Catherine E. (Harmon) Shultz.

Nancy graduated from Bermudian Springs High School in 1962. She loved going to yard sales, bingo, baking, and taking care of her children. She enjoyed playing cards with family and was a member of Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Aspers Fire Company. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she cherished her family and devoted her life to raising her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many other children she helped raise in the community by operating a daycare out of her home.

Nancy is survived by her children, Thomas R. Crouse and his wife Erin of Boiling Springs, Richard W. Crouse, Jr. and his wife Lisa of New Oxford, Cathy J. Weaver and her husband Dean of Gardners and Amy E. Fravel and her husband Jerry of Gardners; she also lives on through her eight grandchildren, Richard W. Crouse III, Andrea Crouse, Robert Grimes and wife Sabrina, Travis Crouse, Kyle Crouse, Joshua Fravel, Dalton Crouse and Nate Weaver; six great grandchildren and a sister Gladys Kuykendall of Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her grandson, David Fravel and her sister, Mary Rebecca Myers.

A service to celebrate the life of Nancy E. (Shultz) Crouse will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with Pastor Andrea Katz officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and then again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs. Pallbearers will be; Robert Grimes, Travis Crouse, Kyle Crouse, Joshua Fravel, Dalton Crouse and Nate Weaver.
