Mildred L. Herman, 98 of Gettysburg peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village. She was the wife of the late Mervin A. Herman who died July 28, 1992.
She was born June 9, 1913 in Somerset the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary Ellen (Spory) Lohr.
Mrs. Herman was a homemaker and a member of Benders Evangelical Lutheran Church, Biglerville.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharan Corbin and her husband Paul, Danville and Winifred Keyser, Weston, sister, Melba Robinson, Middletown, five grandsons, nine great grandchildren, a great great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Meredith Lohr and sisters, Marjorie Wright and Dwynell Milliken.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Herman will be on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 1 PM at the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village, 1075 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg with Rev. Susan J. McCarthy officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village. Burial will be in Benders Lutheran Cemetery, Biglerville.
