Obituary

Michael Rusinko, 95 of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at Hanover Hospital. He was the loving husband of Doris Eileen (Baumgardner) Rusinko.

Born February 19, 1921 in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Steven and Anna (Nemiec) Rusinko.

Michael proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European theater, and was a faithful member of the VFW and the American Legion. After his service, Michael worked for many years as a roofer with Donald B. Smith Roofing Company, and later retired from Bethlehem Mines in 1986. Most of all, he loved hunting and relaxing at his cabin in Potter County.

In addition to his wife, Doris, Michael is survived by his sons, Michael D. Rusinko and his wife Beth of Graham, N.C., Larry E. Rusinko and his wife Crystal of Gettysburg, Ricky C. Rusinko and his wife Laurie of New Oxford and Robert A. Rusinko and his companion Deb of Gettysburg, as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 from 12 noon until 4pm at Mike's home, 110 Brickcrafter's Rd., New Oxford, PA.
