Mary Ellen Yohe, 82 of Gettysburg passed peacefully on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 at Golden Living Center, Gettysburg. She was the wife of the late Melvin C. Yohe who died in 1967.

She was born December 9th, 1928 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late E. Frank and Nellie Grace (Galloway) Herr.

Mrs. Yohe loved animals.

She is survived by her daughter, Grace Kidwell and her husband Bill, Biglerville; granddaughter, Leah Davies and her husband Charles, Gettysburg; grandson, Bryan Avery and his wife Abigail, New Oxford; great grandchildren, Courtney Avery, Gettysburg; Joey Avery, New Oxford; Danyelle Kump, Gettysburg; Brady Kump, Gettysburg and great great grandson, Kyon Kump-Lewis, Gettysburg.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Gladys Yohe and Nellie Herr.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 2nd at 2 PM in Evergreen Cemetery, 799 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg with Pastor Bob Gray officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
