Marilyn B. Miller, 86, of Gettysburg passed away Sunday May 4, 2008 at the Golden Living Center, Gettysburg. She was the loving wife of the late Gerald A. Miller, Sr. who died February 9, 1982.

She was born November 28, 1921 in Cresson, PA the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Irene M. (Dumm) Lauer.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg. She was an avid gardener, and would always go to any length to help a child or animal. A loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her grandsons, Robert S. Miller and his wife Marnie of Gettysburg and Jere L. Miller and his wife Maria of Etters, PA, two sisters, Clara Rehrer of New Mexico and Patricia St. Clair of York Springs, PA, a brother, John A. Lauer of Oxford, PA and five great grandchildren, Ryan N. Miller of Etters, PA; Brandon Miller of Etters, PA; Gavin R. Miller of Gettysburg; Nicholas A. Miller of Gettysburg and Rebecca Wolf of Gettysburg.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald A. Miller, Jr. who died May 3, 1993, sister, Irene Ratchford and three brothers, Gordon O. Lauer, Raymond A. Lauer and Harold A. Lauer.

There will be a graveside service on Friday May 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM in Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York, PA with Rev. Dominic DiBiccaro officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York, PA. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Miller, Marnie Miller, Jere Miller, Nicholas Miller, Ryan Miller and Brandon Miller.
