She was born November 26, 1924 in Moorefield, WV the daughter of the late Franz and Ludie (Snyder) Martin.
Mrs. Crone was an accomplished seamstress and quilter who created many beautiful gifts for her family and friends including many Christmas ornaments and wedding dresses including the wedding dress for her daughter Robin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who had a wonderful sense of humor and she will be missed greatly by all whose lives she touched. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Westminster and enjoyed bingo and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters; Deborah Marlin and Robin Rupp and her husband Brian all of Westminster, MD, brother; Ambrose "Tony" Martin of Bonneauville, sister; Tilda Breighner of Gettysburg, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons; Kenneth Kuykendall and Eugene Martin and 14 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will meet at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 9:30 AM to process to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 East Hanover Street, Bonneauville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father Caesar A. Belchez as celebrant. There will be a viewing on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home with a prayer service at 8 PM. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Cemetery, Bonneauville. Serving as pallbearers will be; Patrick McCrory, Todd Martin, Shawn Clinedinst, Kyle Martin, Jeff Kump, Tony Martin, Kevin Kuykendall, Kenneth Kuykendall and Nicholas Kuykendall.
Contributions in Mrs. Crone's memory may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or to the National Brain Tumor Society, 22 Battery Street, Suite 612, San Francisco, CA 94111.
