Lewis V. Francisco, 81 of Gettysburg, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, Gettysburg. He was the husband of 59 years to Rose A. (Conte) Francisco, Gettysburg.

Born October 5, 1929 in Salem, VA, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Furrow) Francisco.

Mr. Francisco was a member of Gettysburg Bible Baptist Church. He was a former employee with Gettysburg Lutheran Home in Maintenance for 13 years. Lewis's hobby was woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter and two sons: Patricia A. Mitchell and her husband Pastor David, York Springs; Lewis V. Francisco, Jr., Hunterstown; Timothy A. Francisco, Salem, VA; 3 brothers and 3 sisters: Larry, Russell and Kenneth Francisco, Nellie Lyle Nora Francisco and Lucille Shingleton all of Virginia; also 6 grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.

There will be no public viewing. A service to celebrate the life of Lewis V. Francisco will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Gettysburg Bible Baptist Church, 3003 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325 with his son-in-law Pastor David J. Mitchell and Grandson Jeremy Mitchell co-officiating. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Veterans Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA 17331 is assisting the family with their arrangements.
