Obituary

Lester C. Little, 60, of Gettysburg, passed Monday, December 14, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of Betty V. Little.

Born March 28, 1949 in Gettysburg, he was a son of the late Lester and Freda Mae (Herman) Little.

Lee graduated from Gettysburg High School with the class of 1967. He was employed as a forklift operator with Knouse Foods in Gardners since 1991.

Lee was a member of a number of local organizations, including the Littlestown Eagles #2226, the American Legion Post #202 in Gettysburg and the Sons of the American Legion #58, and the McSherrystown Fish and Game where he was also a member of Goofy's. Lee was also a life member of the Northern Nut Growers Association and life member and director of the Pennsylvania Nut Growers Association.

In his free time, Lee enjoyed hunting and farming, and he was an avid gardener and biker.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his son, Lester C. Kellison and his wife Deb of Gettysburg; his sister, Judy Riley and her husband Nevin of Gettysburg; his brother, Earl C. Kauffman Jr. of Illinois; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry L. Little.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with Pastor Bill Mummert officiating. A viewing will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A second viewing will begin 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lester Kellison, Nevin Riley, Keith Kellison, Randy Kauffman, Phil Moore, and Francisco Ramirez.
