Leon B. Silverstein, 91 of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at home. He was the loving husband of Mary K. (Kraft) Silverstein; together they shared 24 years of marriage.

Born August 8, 1926 in Boston, MA, he was a son of the late Irving and Esther (Adelman) Silverstein.

Leon was a loving husband, he renewed his marriage vows every year; he enjoyed to travel and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his wife, Leon is survived by many loving family and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Silverstein will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Peters Funeral Home, Inc., 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with Rev. John S. Goff officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with military honors rendered by the Adams County Veteran Honor Guard.
