Obituary

Leo Curtis Weaver, 84, of Gettysburg, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Transitions Health Care. He was the loving husband of Darlene (Topper) Weaver for 60 years.

Born July 24, 1929 in Littlestown, he was a son of the late Mervin and Rebecca (Eline) Weaver.

Leo was a 1947 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. After 36 years of service, Mr. Weaver retired from the York office of Adams Electric as District Manager. He was a member of the Gettysburg Eagles, Catholic War Veterans in Bonneauville, and a life member of the Littlestown VFW.

Along with his wife, Leo is survived by his son, Dennis Weaver of Gettysburg; brother, Donald Weaver of Littlestown; sister, Catherine Sweeney and her husband John of Littlestown; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Weaver and sister, Mary Leister.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Weaver will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg with Father Bernardo Pistone officiating. Burial will follow in Benders Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo's memory may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Central PA, 925 Linda Ln., Camp Hill, PA 17011.
