Laura L. Austin, 62, of Biglerville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was the loving wife of Arthur S. Austin, Jr. for 33 years.
Born April 18, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Doris Margaretta (Rumney) and George Henry Whittingham, II.
Mrs. Austin was a sales manager for GNC. Laura was also a member and group coordinator for the Alpha 1 Assoc.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, John Austin of NY; her daughter, Laura Jeffcoat of Biglerville; her son, Chad Austin of CA; her daughter, Constance Carrada of Biglerville; her son, Joshua Austin of Biglerville; her daughter, Amber Austin of Gettysburg; her daughter, Erin Austin of Biglerville; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her brother, George Whittingham, III of Hampstead, MD; her nephew, George Whittingham, IV of Arnold, MD; and her niece, Jennifer McFarland of Glen Burnie, MD.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Laura L. Austin will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Chapel Hill Church of God, 5421 Oxford Rd., York Springs, PA 17372, with Pastor Randy Huber officiating.
