LaNita "Andee" Phillips, aged 88, died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on April 24, 2017. Andee was born on February 28, 1929, in Washington, DC, the only daughter of Craige L. Smith and Harriet M. Kelser.

While working in the greater Washington, DC area, Andee met her husband, Thomas L. Phillips, Jr. Andee and Tom were married for over 50 years before he passed away in 2007. Their journey together included raising their two children, JoAnn and Tom, who will always be grateful for her love and support. As Andee and her husband approached the empty nest years, they relocated from the Washington suburbs to Adams County, where they were active in several local churches and community organizations.

Andee will be remembered for her faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family. A Celebration of Life remembrance for Andee will be held at Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church of Gettysburg, located at 865 Knoxlyn Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325, beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 6, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Andee's life consider a donation to the American Cancer Society at United Way of Adams County.
