Born February 20, 1940 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley E. and Irene A. (Bauerline) "Sally" Keefer.
Mr. Keefer was a member of the Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church in Frederick, MD as well as the Gettysburg Eagles, #1562. For many years, Kenneth enjoyed wood working and building furniture. He had a special skill for home improvements. Mr. Keefer also loved being outdoors and doing yard work.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by a sister, Victoria Turek and her husband George of Fayetteville, PA; two stepdaughters, Melissa Schroder of Des Moines, IA and Tara Main of Mt. Pleasant; and two step-granddaughters, Morgan Hansen and Olivia Schroder. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth S. Keefer will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 6 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325 with Rev. George Earle, Jr. officiating. An opportunity to view and a time to share memories will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Thursday, May 5. A second opportunity to view will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Peters Funeral Home on Friday. Peters Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
