Kenneth K. Boucher, 89 of Gettysburg, PA formerly of Sioux City, IA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home. He was the loving husband of Juanita (Hayslip) Boucher; together they shared 66 years of marriage.
Born April 30, 1927 in Sioux City, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Jessie (Farrin) Boucher.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; he was a comptroller with International Harvester Truck and Equipment for 35 years in Philadelphia, PA, and Des Moines IA. In his free time Kenneth enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing cards.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by five children, a daughter, Jody Major and her husband Russell of Gettysburg, PA, four sons, Michael K. Boucher and his wife Janet of Leavenworth, KS, Patrick J. Boucher and his wife Ellen of Nuremberg, Germany, Kevin J. Boucher and his wife Pam of Mountain Home, AR, Gary L. Boucher and his wife Jeannette of Suffolk, VA; a sister Marlene Johnson of Sioux City, IA, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. To all, he was known as a man of great character.
A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Jay Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. Pallbearers will be his sons: Mike, Patrick, Kevin & Gary; son-in-law Russell, and Stephen Rose.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth's memory to American Heart Association, 417 Phoenix Drive, Suite A., Chambersburg PA 17201.
