Obituary

Kelly Ann (McAndrew) Whitton, 42 of Whitehall, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at home.

Born on July 23, 1976, in Allentown, she was the beloved daughter of Paula S. (Ladd) Smith and her husband Bruce S. of Northampton, and Patrick L. McAndrew and his wife Jean Marie of Tamaqua.

Kelly was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her children were the center of her world, and she cherished them deeply. A 1994 graduate of Northampton Senior High School, Kelly was active in both athletics and school spirit playing softball for Allen Township and later NAA, and proudly serving as a cheerleader.

Following high school, Kelly answered a higher calling and joined the United States Marine Corps. After completing training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC, she earned the rank of Corporal. Her service led her to Okinawa, Japan, where she was stationed at Camp Courtney as a Supply Chain Logistics Manager. Her time in the military exemplified her dedication, discipline, and drive for excellence.

Kelly also pursued her passion for beauty through the study of cosmetology and later found joy in coaching her son's Triboro soccer team, always taking an active role in her children's lives.

In addition to her parents, Kelly is survived by her three cherished children: Emily Skylar Whitton of Bremen, GA; Kylie Victoria Holmes of Villa Rica, GA; and Tyler James Lucas of Whitehall. She is also survived by five loving siblings: Jenny Mellon and her husband John of Bangor; Michelle Brobst and her husband Ryan of Northampton; Katie Smith and her companion Rob N. Heffelfinger of Northampton; Marie McAndrew of Nazareth; and Samuel B. Smith and his companion Bianca I. Carrion of Gettysburg. Kelly leaves behind three nephews Ethan Brobst, Grant Brobst, and Jayden Moore and a niece, Maya Moore, along with many loving extended family members and dear friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Kelly's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 575 Grape Street, Whitehall, PA 18052, with Rev.
