John E. Shaw, 80, of Gettysburg, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at home with his wife Karen and loved ones by his side.  He was the loving husband of Karen M. (Bowen) Shaw, Gettysburg.  They would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on September 16, 2023.

Born December 24, 1942 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Edward Reeves and the late Greeda (Davis) Shields.

John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was employed as a security guard for many years with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi, MD.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, 799 Baltimore St., Gettysburg.
