Joe Buck Coker, 80 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 after a long difficult battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born January 2, 1944 in Eustace, TX, he was a son of the late Jake Coker and Maxine Stegall Coker Yarborough.

Joe Buck was a brilliant man. Most of his life, he worked as an electrician and could figure out how to fix just about anything. He was a voracious reader and loved to study and discuss politics. He enjoyed traveling across the globe for his work and he was very interested in things happening all around the world. Most of all he really loved and cared about his family. He was a good man with a good heart. Joe Buck was generous to a fault and had a steadfast faith.

Joe Buck is survived by his three children: Thomas Coker, Danna Sturman and Travis Coker, as well as numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Janie Coker who helped care for him during the last few difficult years.

A private memorial service to celebrate Joe's life will be held by his family.
