He was born April 14, 1942 in Williams Branch, Robson, West Virginia the son of the late Nile King and Edith (Bartram) Justice.

Jerry was employed with Chester Chapman Excavating in Gettysburg for 20 years and later owned and operated Jerry Justice Excavating. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed family picnics and spending time with family and friends at his lake house in Raystown. Jerry was a member of Mountain Top Ministries, Gettysburg, the Adams County Farmers Association and the Adams County Fish and Game Association.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Steinour and her husband Barry, Gettysburg; a step-son, Larry E. Miller, Gettysburg; sisters, Oma Bailey, Oak Hill, WV; Ruth Ankrom, St. Albans, WV and Jeanette Showers, Gettysburg, a brother, Daniel Justice, Charleston, WV; four grandchildren, Jamie; Michelle; Nicole and Ryan, three great grandchildren, Cyrus; Connar and Gwenth, devoted friend, Connie Doll, Dallastown and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Gene Wallace Justice; Audrey Kirby; Mary Knouse; Frederick Dowell Justice; Paul Edward Justice; Julia Ann Justice and Iva Currey.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11 AM at Mountain Top Ministries, 200 Church Road, Orrtanna with Rev. Kenneth R.W. Reid officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 6 until 9 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. A second viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
