Jane Lee Powell, 57, of Gettysburg died Saturday November 24, 2007 at Green Acres.

Born October 14, 1950, in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of Doris Evelyn (Shaffer) Carey, of Biglerville, and the late Newell Eugene Carey.

Jane was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Hershey Medical Center until her Multiple Sclerosis would not allow her to continue her employment. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gettysburg.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Carey Brown, Biglerville; and three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Allen and Bethany Brown.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Newell Carey.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
