James R. Cullison, Sr., 89, of Gettysburg, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville. He was the husband of Pauline (Shindledecker) Cullison who died December 11, 2009.

He was born December 7, 1926 in Gettysburg, the son of the late Alvin and Gertrude (Stewart) Cullison.

Mr. Cullison was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy and was a maintenance supervisor at Gettysburg College. He was a member of the Gettysburg Eagles #1562.

He is survived by his sons, James R. Cullison, Jr. and wife Marina, Gettysburg, Daniel Cullison and wife Nanette, Etters, Ronald Cullison, Gettysburg and Timothy Cullison, Gettysburg; sister, Ann Clingan, McSherrystown; sister-in-law, Barbara Weigand, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Kyle, Alexander, Sydney, Jordan, Lauren, Morgan and Brett and great grandchildren, Xavier, Violet and Ezekiel.

He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends and share memories on Thursday, August 25th from 10 AM to 11 AM with a private funeral service to follow at 11 AM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
