Helen Joy (McDonough) Budrow, 91 of Fayetteville, PA, formerly of Jackson, NJ, passed away peacefully at Gettysburg Hospital on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Budrow who passed away June 4, 1991. Her family takes comfort in knowing that they will be reunited in heaven after 35 years apart.

Born January 31, 1935 in Hillside, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Brace) McDonough. Helen married Roy in 1955, and soon after the couple moved to Jackson. Helen was an employee of the Jackson Township School District for 25 years and then after retirement had a second career working in medical records at Bartley Healthcare of Jackson. Helen loved playing Mahjong and domino games, completing jigsaw puzzles, and reading.

Helen is survived by her two children: Pamela (Budrow) Chiarelli and her husband Wayne of Gettysburg, PA and Preston Budrow and wife Pam (Zerener) of Little River, SC. Her two granddaughters were the apples of her eye: Megan (Chiarelli) Monahan and her husband Daniel of Burke, VA and Kaitlin (Chiarelli) Merritt and her husband Kevin of Reston, VA. She had recently received a promotion to “Gigi” with the arrival of her two great granddaughters, Corinne Merritt, age 3, and Cassandra Merritt, age 1.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, including her beloved sister Marilyn (McDonough) Krall and brother-in-law Luke.

Helen will be laid to rest June 23, 2026 at 10:00am next to her husband Roy at BG William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 360 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ.
