Grace A. Rider's Obituary
Grace A. Rider, 83 of Gettysburg entered God's eternal home on Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Gettysburg Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 5, 1925 in Gettysburg the daughter of the late William Rider and Sarah Jeffcoat.
Mrs. Rider was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg and graduated from Gettysburg High School. She was employed for many years with W.T. Grants, Kings and Ames, all in Gettysburg.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Priest and her husband Jon of Gettysburg, son, Terry Leach and his wife Robin of Gettysburg, granddaughters, Megan Priest of Gettysburg and Sarah E. Swartz of York Springs, great grandsons, Connor Lee Swartz and Cole Lucas Bupp both of York Springs and niece, Nancy Doersom and her husband Richard of Gettysburg.
She was preceded in death by her sister Viola Breighner.
The funeral will be Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11 AM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Father Bernardo Pistone officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Gettysburg. Serving as pallbearers will be, Jon Priest; Terry Leach; Richard Doersom and Corey Markle.
