Glenn D. "Glennie" Fisher, Jr., 14, of Biglerville, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center after a lifelong battle with spina bifida.

Born May 6, 1996 in Hershey, he was the loving son of Glenn and Susan (White) Fisher and brother of Steven.

Glennie attended Alloway Creek Intermediate School in Littlestown and took classes with LIU Unit #12. He loved watching movies and TV shows with his friends and family, especially Sesame Street and MASH. Glennie also enjoyed bowling with his family and spending time at Sesame Place with his favorite character, Elmo.

Everyone who knew him will always remember his love for life.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and brother, are his paternal grandparents, Charles and Connie Fisher of Williamsport, MD; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Valentine of Gettysburg; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with Pastor Gregory Lowe officiating. A viewing will begin 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

For those desiring, contributions may be made in Glennie's memory to his family. A memorial scholarship in his memory will be established at a later date.
