Geraldine Esther (Kuhn) Slaybaugh of Gettysburg, formerly of Panama City, Florida and Biglerville, Pennsylvania passed peacefully Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg.
Born in Hunters Run, Pennsylvania on May 26, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Fred David Kuhn and Maude (Bohn) Kuhn. She attended William Penn High School in Harrisburg. Geraldine was formerly married to Mark Slaybaugh.
Retired as an assistant manager at Alvin's in Panama City Beach Florida, She was a former co-owner of Slaybaugh's Floor Covering of Biglerville, and earlier worked at the Carroll Shoe Factory in Arendtsville, Musselmans in Biglerville and Masland's in Carlisle.
She was a member of the Biglerville American Legion Post of Lynn Haven, FL and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Gettysburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Marshall of Lancaster, most recently of York Springs, Pa and Vickie Daub of Youngstown FL, and two sons, Randy Slaybaugh of Panama City, Florida and Mark Slaybaugh of Lynn Haven, FL. Eleven grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son, Fred William Slaybaugh; an infant sister Ruth Mayetta Kuhn and two sisters Mrs Dorothy Showers of Aspers, and Romaine Fulton of Ohio, and three brothers Fred, Earl, and Walter Kuhn all of Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania.
She never met a stranger, she'd talk to anybody, and talk and talk and talk.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Transitions Healthcare for taking such good care of Gerry for the past four years. Special thanks to all those who stopped in on her final day to wish her God's speed, She loved you all.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Geraldine will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 12:30 pm with Pastor Brandy Crago officiating at Peters Funeral Home 321 Carlisle St. Gettysburg. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and then again on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
