Georgia L. Stambaugh, 92, of Gettysburg and formerly of Virginia passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Transitions, Gettysburg.

She was born April 4, 1923 in Rose Hill, VA, the daughter of the late Cecil and Alta (Smith) Glass.

She is survived by her son, Kermit Stambaugh and wife Sandy, Gettysburg; daughter, Sandra Crawford, Cashtown; brother, Claude Glass and wife Jewell, Rose Hill, VA; sister, Wanda Mitchell, Ewing, VA; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Smith William Glass; sisters, Mildred Glass, Neva Burchett and Gladys Baker; grandson, Bobby Kirk, Jr; great grandson, Justin Stambaugh and great great granddaughter, Arianna Kirk.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 7 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 5PM until the start of the service. Family and friends will meet at Union Cemetery, Keysville, MD on Thursday, August 13th at 10:30 AM for a committal service.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sterling "Rick" Stambaugh, Kermit Stambaugh, Jr., David Stambaugh, Timothy Stambaugh, James Kirk and Joshua Topper.
