Obituary

Gaynella "Gaye" DeSimon, 100, of Gettysburg was called home by Jesus on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Gettysburg Center. She was the loving wife of Morris DeSimon who died March 30, 2001.

She was born October 26, 1914 in Biglerville, the daughter of the late Wilbie and Etta (Showers) Tuckey.

Mrs. DeSimon attended the Church of the Nazarene, Gettysburg and received a two year degree from Beauty School in York. She was a beautician in Gettysburg for eight years and was employed by the Gettysburg Times for a number of years.

She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Treva Tuckey, Doris Tuckey and Marvel Tuckey and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dana DeSimon who died February 10, 2013, and her brothers and sisters, Ergie Tuckey, Eugene Tuckey, Anna Dunlap, Isabel Hummer, Mildred Martin, twin brother James Tuckey, Jesse Tuckey, Glenn Tuckey, Ethel Kuntz and Burton Tuckey.

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2 PM at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends and share memories from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wenksville Cemetery, Wenksville.
