Emma E. Crist Lott, 97 of Duncannon formerly of Gettysburg, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon, PA. She was the wife of the late Dr. Chester G. Crist, MD on July 17, 1970 and Robert C. Lott on July 18, 1985.
Born October 22, 1914 in Perry Co. PA., She was the daughter of the late Rah Frazier and Mary M. (Glass) Snyder.
Mrs. Lott was a member of Conewago Presbyterian Church, Hunterstown from 1963-1988. She was a graduate of Duncannon High School in 1930. Emma attended Central PA Business College, Harrisburg from 1930-1931. She was a graduate of Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. Emma did her post graduate at Children's Hospital, Washington D.C. in 1946. She then attended Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA. She was The Nurse Hope of Adams Co. in 1978, past board member of Adams County Unit American Cancer Society, Past President of the Auxiliary of PA Association of Conservation District, member of Board of Directors of the Gilliand Presbyterian Home from 1963 – 1988, AARP member, retired as In Service Director at Michael Manor, Gettysburg in 1980, She was an Elder of Duncannon Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School and Choir and past president of Duncannon Presbyterian Church Woman's Association.
Surviving is a sister: Ina R. Mutzabaugh, Duncannon, PA; a niece: Judy Yohn and her husband Larry, Duncannon, PA; a nephew: Scott Mutzabaugh and his wife Sandra, Duncannon, PA; also a great niece Breanna Mutzabaugh and a great nephew Cody Mutzabaugh; step-children, step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Emma E. Crist Lott will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325 with Rev. Roger Uittenbogaard and Rev. Suzanne Uittenbogaard officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be from 10:30 – 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
At the request of Mrs. Lott no flowers are to be sent, however memorial contributions may be made in memory of Emma to the American Cancer Society, 924 Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 or to Duncannon Presbyterian Church, 3 High Street, Duncannon, PA 17020.
