Elliott Scott Coffelt passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the University Of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA.
He was born prematurely on October 6, 2016 and although he wasn't expected to survive long after birth, he fought very hard and lived for over six weeks. Although he was with us for a short time, he touched the lives of many. He will be fondly remembered for his deep blue eyes and how he lovingly snuggled with his stuffed giraffe.
Elliott is survived by his mother, Rebekah J. Smith and her fiancé Malcom Rankin, Gettysburg; father, Seth A. Doan, Hanover; sisters, Bailee Smith, Gettysburg and Maci Warner, Hanover; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Coffelt, Gettysburg; paternal grandmother, Dina Doan, Hanover; paternal grandfather, Russell Staton, Jr., Gettysburg; maternal great grandmothers, Sandra Wood, Gettysburg and R. Marie Coffelt, Fairfield; maternal great grandfather, Harry Coffelt and wife Winifred, Fairfield; paternal great grandmother, Deborah Roszler, Hanover; paternal great grandfather, Russell Staton, Sr., Gettysburg; paternal great, great grandparents, Joseph and Hester Roszler, Midland, PA; uncles and aunts, William Coffelt, Devan Staton, Jesse Staton, Wyatt Staton and Natalie Staton all of Gettysburg and Cierra Doan, Hanover and numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Keith Coffelt, paternal grandfather, Gregory Doan and maternal great grandfather, Robert Wood.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11 AM at Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the start of the service.
