Elizabeth Myers' Obituary
Elizabeth "Aunt Betty" Myers, 81, of Gettysburg, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at The Brethren Home Community, Cross Keys Village.
Born September 29, 1929 in Cumberland Township, Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel G. and Ruth (Snyder) Sollenberger.
Elizabeth was employed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC since 1953, and upon retirement in 1998, she moved to Gettysburg. For the past twenty-one years, she was quite active in the Gettysburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Blair of Culpeper, VA; brothers Herbert Sollenberger of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Samuel Sollenberger of Gettysburg; six nephews and nieces; and numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, with Rev. Jay E. Zimmerman officiating. The Peters Funeral Home, Gettysburg, is in charge of arrangements.
