Elise M. Wagner, 89, of Gettysburg and formerly of Silver Spring, MD passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of Richard E. Wagner who died January 28, 1983.

She was born November 18, 1919 in Gulfport, MS, the daughter of the late Webb L. and Camille (Hagan) Mangum.

Mrs. Wagner graduated from Wilson Teachers College, Washington, DC and was a teacher and librarian in Montgomery County Maryland. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was past president of the Women's Club of Wheaton, MD.

She is survived by her son, Bruce L. Wagner of Gettysburg, PA; grandsons, Richard E. Wagner serving our country in Iraq, and Devin B. Wagner of Smithfield, NC; and sister, Webblyn Gore of Rockville, MD.

Services and interment will be private. The Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
