Eleanor Epley of Gettysburg, PA. passed peacefully into Gods hands, Friday, October 24,2014 while residing at the Lutheran Home Care. Eleanor was born February 15, 1925 in Dunn, NC. She is the daughter of the late Ellison Goddard and Corrine Goddard. Her sibling's include her brothers Jim Goddard, Jack Goddard and a sister Novella Sands. Eleanor was the loving wife of the late Robert Epley. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who leaves behind four sons, James Epley, Ken Epley, Tom Epley, and Paul Epley. She also leaves behind eight wonderful grandchildren, Cameron, Hunter and Tyler Epley, Ben, Scottie, and Tina Warner,Nikki and Dustin Himes. Additionally there are three beautiful great grandchildren, Madison and Alexis Warner, and Jayna Helsiy. Eleanor was a nurse in NC and New Oxford, PA. She truly enjoyed helping others. She left the medical field to enjoy more time with family and friends. She
continued helping others especially through her Church, Salem Guldens United Methodist Church. There she was involved with the choir and helped with programs within the church and community. She was also highly involved with the Eastem Star Program, but she will be
remembered most as a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The family would like to extend its gratitude to all of her wonderful friends for their love and support and to the staff of the Lutheran Home. There will be services held Tuesday October 28,2014 times as follows: visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Guldens United Methodist, 224 Low Dutch Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
