Dorothy A. "Dottie" Greene, 84, of Bonneauville passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Greene who died August 8, 1977.

She was born February 10, 1930 in Welsh Run, PA, the daughter of the late Harry Denton and Olive Louise (Sites) Bingaman.

Dottie was a bus driver for Apple Line, ACTA and Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 until she retired at the age of 82. Helping, transporting and spending time with her Life Skills students was the joy of her life. She was previously employed by the Commonwealth of PA for 10 years. Dottie also enjoyed crocheting and cooking, and loved to share food and recipes with her friends, relatives and visitors.

She is survived by her faithful companion of over 30 years, Fern Klinefelter, Bonneauville; her daughters, Vickie (Statler) Cerullo, Camp Hill and Wanda (Greene) Cover, Laurel, MD; her grandson, Aubrey Vincent Cover, Davenport, IA; two nieces, a nephew and their children.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia "Pat" Bitner and her brother, Donald "Skip" Bingaman.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 3 PM at Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg with Rev. Jay Zimmerman officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be from 2 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dorothy "Dottie" Greene may be made to the Hart Center, 450 East Golden Lane, New Oxford, PA 17350.
