Obituary

Dorothy S. Bream, 93, of Arendtsville, entered into God's eternal care Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Clyde F. Bream, who died in June 1971.

Born July 19, 1917 in York Springs, she was the daughter of Denton Snyder, Ruth Hoff, and John Stevens.

Mrs. Bream was a lifelong member of the Brethren Church. She was an avid gardener and loved growing roses. Dorothy found much joy in baking, especially breads and pies for her family and church.

Dorothy is survived a sister, Clara Krout Eisenhart as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bream was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Floyd Stevens.

A service to celebrate the life of Dorothy will be held 10:15 a.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Idaville United Brethren Church, 3560 Carlisle Road, Idaville, with Pastor Stewart Johns officiating. An opportunity to view and share memories of Mrs. Bream will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday until the time of the service at the church. Immediately following the ceremony will be a brief luncheon at the church. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
