Donn W. Newman, 82 of Fayetteville and formerly of Gettysburg passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Darlene F. (Beauseigneur) Newman, Fayetteville his wife of 36 years.

He was born December 6, 1929 in Pago Pago, American Samoa, the son of the late William and Ruby (Miller) Newman.

Donn served with the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 202, Gettysburg and the 40 and 8 Club, Gettysburg. He was employed with Warren Chevrolet, Gettysburg; Shultz Chevrolet, Hanover; Luckenbaugh Chevrolet, Spring Grove and Zentz Chevrolet, Gettysburg. After retiring, Donn was employed in the transportation department at the Gettysburg Tour Center and was also employed in the transportation department at Ski Liberty, Carroll Valley.

In addition to his wife, Donn is survived by a brother, Reginald E. Newman, Springfield, VA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Fissel who died in 1974 and brothers and sisters, Stanley Newman, Joy Edwards, June Chronister, Victor Newman and Billy S.D. Newman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11 AM at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna with Father Joe Carolin, Celebrant. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass in the Loyola Center adjacent to the church. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Orrtanna.
