Debra S. Orndorff, 56, of Gettysburg, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at her residence. She was the wife of Robert A. Wills, who died December 24, 2001.

Born February 7, 1954 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Laura Louise (Thomas) Orndorff, Sr.

After attending Gettysburg High School, Debbie was employed as a nurse's aide in the Gettysburg area for many years. She later worked as a receptionist at a number of local motels. Debbie attended the Gettysburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and loved animals, especially her dog, Oreo.

Surviving are two brothers, Joseph H. Orndorff, Jr., and his partner Joseph Bekisz of Bethesda, MD, and William H.L. Orndorff and his wife Denise of Harrisburg; two sisters, Linda C. Beasley of Gettysburg, and Sharon Louise Bowie and her husband Adriel of Gettysburg; four nieces, Laura Beasley, Holly Greenawalt, Esmeralda M. Orndorff, and Hannah E. Orndorff; and one nephew, Brian L. Bowie. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Adrian L. Bowie.

Details for a public memorial service will be announced at a later date. A private graveside service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Erin Roberts, the Adams Cancer Center, including Dr. Rice, Dr. Yacoub, Cathy Riley, and staff for their care of Debbie during her illness. They would also like to show their appreciation to Bob Soergel and the hospice staff at Lutheran Home Care & Hospice as well as their dear family friend, Linda Powell, who helped care for Debbie throughout her final days.
